Why Is Crystal Collapse on Pre-order instead of on a Crowdfunding Campaign?

The answer is quite complicated, but essentially we’ve seen a number of high profile companies recently run successful crowdfunding campaigns and then go on to fail to deliver. This then causes a lack of trust in the community who are rightly concerned that they may back a campaign that they love and never get to enjoy the product. In addition to this, crowdfunded games are overwhelming! You get tonnes of models (a daunting prospect for any painter!), hundreds of scenarios and this means that its difficult to actually play the game and enjoy it! 

We wanted to steer clear of these pitfalls and bring you a game free of these issues, where we can grow the game organically with the community and you can be assured that you will get the products that you’ve paid for.

We have the funds to produce the first 1000 copies of the game ourselves, which means that we don’t need to wait for crowdfunding to conclude to get the money to begin production. Once we’ve sold them all that will pay for more copies and create it’s own self-sustaining eco-system. As such, you can rest assured that by pre-ordering Crystal Collapse, you will guarantee that you will get the products that you have paid for!
