Pre-order shipping update

Hi all! When our pre-orders went live we were planning to be shipping in May 2024. Unfortunately, it’s now June and still haven’t shipped products as alterations were required to the quest book. It’s a critical component for you to be able to play the game so we needed to get it right!

Everything produced, but with half of the products with our German team and half with our UK team. Currently we have products passing between countries so we have a complete set at either end for local fulfilment.

Once products arrive at each location, we’ll be packing orders and dispatching them as quickly as possible. We can’t wait for you to all to be able to enjoy our game!

New product preview

In the meantime we’re working on some new factions, with the Rosenburg Rebellion coming up next. We’ve also added a few extra characters including Mr Powder. He was was originally going to be a member of the Vaaland starter faction.

Mr Powder 3D render from Zbrush

In our early play-testing, Mr Powder was one of my favourite characters to play. Unfortunately as we polished the gameplay and refined the other characters, dialling them in more to reflect their story and roles in the game, we ended up losing one of the key game mechanics that made Mr Powder work. Max has been busy reworking him though and he’s just about ready to hit the table top!

The next character addition is Luisa, a young girl who is the head of the Kurado Besalia fan club! I won’t tell you too much about her but I’m sure you can agree that she looks like she’ll be a fun character to play!

We’re also looking into the next narrative campaign which will begin to drive the story forward, focussing in on key character story arcs and overall plot development. We’ll also be adding a solo play mechanic which will introduce monster battles into the game and allow you to take on some classic JPRG type monsters such as a King Slime and a Behemoth! I’m personally really looking forward to those!

  1. Schade, dafür das ja mal April als “sicherer” Veröffentlichungstermin genannt wurde (und dann Mai)…..

    1. We had talked about April as a release date a long time ago with the plan that we would put our pre-order live in November/December 2023. Though I’m not certain we ever officially put that date out – from when pre-orders went live it was always stated as May for expected delivery.

Since then though, the game went through significant changes, a full new faction was added and we went through a full rewrite and reformatting of the entire game. I honestly believe that the game you’re getting now is far superior to the earlier version because of the extra work that we’ve put in and I’m sure you’ll love it!

    1. I understand and we’re really sorry and also disappointed by the delays. Our own naivety here I think as we thought we could circumvent some of the delays that Kickstarter priojects are subject to by producing everything locally. Unfortunately the miniatures that I shipped from the UK to Germany took a week to get from the UK to Germany and have then spent over a week being held by customs. THankfully we’ve had notification now that they have just been released so we’re expecting them to actually be delivered this week. Once they arrive we should be good to begin shipping European orders. As for the UK orders though, we’re currently awaiting a status update from the shipping company to tell us where they actually are. We may need to look at getting components produced in ther entirety on each side of the UK/EU divide to avoid this kind of thing in future.

Thanks for bearing with us and we really hope you enjoyt he game when it arrives!

      All the best

      Dan

  3. Hey, any news yet for planned delivery dates in UK?

    1. Hi, I’ve just had the card stock items through from Germany so the only thing outstanding now is the MDF components. As soon as they arrive I’m good to start shipping but unfortunately we have no tracking information from the package so we don’t know where it is at the moment. I’ll update once all products are here.

  4. This is about the gamefound version of the game right? Or is this an old update for the first run of the game?

    1. This was an update of the first pre-order release – our Gamefound campaign has wrapped up now and the late pledge is about to close off for the pledge manager. We’re hoping to be able to ship everything in December this year all being well.
