1️⃣ New Hero Unlocked – Luise, the Pint-Sized Powerhouse!
This weeks new hero unlock is upon us, and standing (well… not very tall) in the spotlight is Luise, the 12-year-old Besalian whirlwind with a mace bigger than her dreams!
She’s the president, secretary, and entire membership of the unofficial Kurado Besalia Fan Club, and she’s not just here for autographs – she’s here to fight.
🛡️ Luise’s Backstory – “If He Can Do It, So Can I!”
Luise grew up in the bustling city of Besalia, where stories of battlefield glory are traded over dinner like gossip at a village bake sale. Her walls were covered in hand-drawn posters of Kurado, the legendary knight with the biceps of a demigod and the sword of a small tree. Other children idolised singers and god-card champions—Luise only had eyes for one person: Sir Kurado Besalia, Hero of the Realm.
It all started when Kurado rescued her school group from a runaway cart of turnips during a field trip to the capital. While the other kids ran in terror, Luise stood frozen in awe as the knight drew his greatsword and cleaved the cart clean in half. To her, it wasn’t just a feat of strength—it was destiny calling.
From that moment on, she trained every day. Her parents thought she was just going through a “knightly phase”—until she smuggled a forge-hammer out of her dad’s workshop and repurposed it as a training mace. Now she roams the battlefield wielding a colossal weapon almost her own height, determined to impress her idol with pure, unfiltered chaotic energy.
To Kurado, she’s a bit of an unexpected sidekick. To everyone else… she’s a tiny terror who hits like a runaway cart with turnips.
🧨 Luise’s Skills Breakdown
Active Skill – Meteor Strike:
Ready to break the dice roller? Meteor Strike lets Luise play a second card from her hand, provided it’s the same suit as the first (no cheating with god cards!). Add them together for a sky-high total and stack those manoeuvre bonuses for potentially devastating attacks. This is not a girl you want rolling hot.
Passive Skill – Kurado’s #1 Fan:
As long as Kurado is within arm’s reach (or you know, a reasonable heroic radius), Luise can reroll one missed hit per activation. Because when your hero is watching, you fight harder. And louder.

Ollie from Blackheart Miniatures might be a new face in the hobby, but he’s already making waves. Just five months into the miniature scene and he’s already growing a loyal following. This past weekend, he came out to our Crystal Collapse Demo Day at Element Games in Birmingham to get hands-on with the game, meet Dan and Jacob (Dan’s son and master of Crystal Collapse!), and film some content!

3️⃣ Character Focus – Feena Moonshroud 🌙
Feena, the Priestess of the Myra People, stood on the precipice of destiny, a figure shrouded in mystery and designated as a prophet. The details of her foretold greatness remained veiled in uncertainty, yet an undeniable pull towards the enigmatic crystals fueled her every step. The crystals, with their arcane allure, whispered secrets that beckoned Feena to uncover the truths hidden within their depths. Aware that her role would be pivotal in the future of her people, Feena embarked on a journey to unravel the mysteries that awaited her.
Once betrothed to the young Myra Prince Nabou, their union promised a future of tradition and prosperity. However, the magnetic force of the crystals proved insurmountable for Feena, overshadowing even the bonds of betrothal. Driven by an unrelenting curiosity and a sense of duty to her people, Feena made the heart-wrenching decision to leave love and her personal happiness behind and call off her engagement to follow the alluring call of the crystals that seemed to resonate with her very soul.
Amidst the uncertainty of her newfound path, a mysterious guardian emerged to stand by Feena’s side – Hana, the silent and vigilant Windrunner. This enigmatic protector became a stalwart companion, ensuring that no harm would befall Feena as she pursued the elusive truths hidden within the crystals. In Hana’s silent presence, Feena found an unspoken promise of safety, a reassuring knowledge that the young assassin would lay down her life before allowing any harm to befall her charge.
As their journey unfolded, the bond between Feena and Hana deepened into a warming friendship, an inseparable pairing united by the shared quest for truth and destiny. The vast deserts of Gysha, with their treacherous challenges, became the backdrop for their odyssey. Feena, determined and courageous, faced each trial with unwavering resolve, her heart set on discovering the elusive connection between herself and the crystals that held the key to her prophecy.
In the arid expanse of Gysha, Feena’s footsteps echoed with a resolute determination, each stride carrying her closer to the revelations that awaited her. The duo, Priestess and Windrunner, traversed the shifting sands with the shared purpose of unravelling the intricacies of fate and unlocking the mysteries bound within the crystals. As they faced the challenges that lay ahead, Feena’s unwavering spirit and Hana’s silent strength would prove instrumental in shaping the destiny that awaited the Myra People.
First Thoughts
Feena is the kind of healer you don’t realise you need until your whole squad is bleeding. As priestess of the Myra people and bearer of a sacred crystal affinity, she’s gentle, serene, and totally capable of turning your opponent’s tactical plan on its head.
Profile Analysis
Feena’s numbers aren’t particularly flashy—4 movement and 2 attack dice, just like Lily and Nagold. But she’s rocking 4 Life Points and 2 magical armour, making her a deceptively tough support piece. Her attack stat is a modest 3 with a range of 4, but that’s not where her power lies. Instead, her true strength is in making your opponent’s hard-earned damage just disappear. Annoying? Definitely. Effective? Oh yes. With that said though, I have seen her MVP a game taking out multiple enemy heroes by making effective use of manoeuvre bonuses, so don’t underestimate her!
Active Skill – Protection of Nature
Nice and simple: A Hero or Crystal within A3 heals 2 damage. It won’t take them above their starting HP, but it will frustrate your enemies to no end. Especially when that freshly-recovered Crystal ruins their win condition.
Passive Skill – “May My Prayers Guide You”
If a friendly hero within A2 of Feena uses protection tokens, they’ll get one back at the end of the turn. So if you’re stacking this with Roland’s passive (which reduces enemy attack dice by 2 when using protection tokens), you’ve basically created a bunker with legs. A very polite, healing, invincible bunker.
Final Verdict
Feena might not win the DPS award, but she will win you games. She’s the backbone of a solid defence and a nightmare to deal with. Use her right, and she’ll be your MVP every time.
