1️⃣ Final Week , Easter and A Quick Apology!

Hey everyone! First off, huge thanks for sticking with us—we’re entering the final week of the Crystal Collapse campaign! 🙌

🐣🌸 We’d also like to wish you all a very Happy Easter, from the whole team here at The Lion’s Tower! We hope you’ve had a relaxing weekend filled with chocolate, laughter, and perhaps a cheeky bit of tabletop gaming. 🐰🎲

Now, I owe you all an apology: this update should’ve hit your inbox a few days ago, but I’ve been away on a much-needed Easter break with the family. Turns out, where we stayed was a beautiful wilderness… with absolutely no mobile signal. Not ideal for campaign updates, but the kids loved it, so swings and roundabouts, eh?

Anyway, let’s dive into some big updates…

2️⃣ US Tariff Strategy – All Made in the UK & Europe

We’ve had a lot of questions and concerns around US tariffs and international shipping, and we totally get it—so here’s the plan:

We’re now producing the entire game locally within the UK and Europe, just like we did for the first edition. This was always our intention, though we had considered scaling up with Chinese production if the volume justified it. Instead, we’ve chosen to work with multiple new suppliers across the UK and EU to keep everything closer to home.

3️⃣ New Hero Unlock – Ashitaka Ito, the Myra Swordsman

Meet Ashitaka Ito, the wandering blade of the Myra people. He’s not just any swordsman—he’s a calm storm of vengeance, loyalty, and honour… and his stat line is absolutely wild.

🐉 Ashitaka’s Story:

Ashitaka Ito was born into a long line of warrior-philosophers sworn to defend the Crystal Shrines of Myra. Raised in a secluded mountain monastery, he studied both swordplay and serenity under his master, a wise and powerful teacher who taught him that every slash must have purpose, and every silence holds meaning.

When the Great Crystal began to hum with an unnatural pulse and his master mysteriously vanished, Ashitaka knew the balance of Myra had been disturbed. With no hesitation, he set out to find his mentor, even if it meant cutting through the veils of illusion and danger that clouded the path ahead.

In his journey, he encountered Feena, the Crystal Priestess, who shared his vision and quest. Swearing an oath of loyalty, Ashitaka now serves as her guardian, protector, and sword arm—driven by an unshakable belief that the truth behind his master’s disappearance lies at the heart of the crystal’s corruption.

🧠 Active Skill – Wordless Severance

Before Ashitaka strikes, he silences his foe—literally. Silence removes their ability to use fate cards, which is a game-changer in Crystal Collapse. Without those buffs, their maximum defence drops from a whopping 26 to a simple 10… and with Ashitaka’s power, that’s basically a countdown to getting chopped.

🛡️ Passive Skill – “Numbers do not change fate, your defeat is assured.”

Ashitaka cannot be outnumbered—opponents gain no bonuses for ganging up on him. That fate card advantage? Gone. Perfect for ploughing into enemy mobs and coming out looking smug and unscratchable.

Ashitaka is that rare mix of control and brutality—a scalpel that hits like a hammer.

4️⃣ Solo Mode Enemy Unlock – Hobbe Archers!

Just to make your solo games a little less predictable (and a bit more painful), we’re adding a new variant enemy to your decks: Hobbe Archers! 🏹

They bring a fresh dynamic to enemy line-ups, with ranged attacks that can force you to rethink your formations and positioning. That’s right—no more leisurely strolls up the board while your opponents scratch their heads. Now the arrows fly.

Because we’re cool like that, this unlock is added free to the Hobbe miniatures pack and to the acrylic standees too. We want to give you the best bang for your buck, and we think these little green men with bows do exactly that.
