Taro

Taro’s origins lay within the enigmatic Myra people, a nomadic tribe of cat-like beings who had once been human until an ancient curse befell them to turn them into living weapons. The Myra are innately able to use magic without crystals, but it is not entirely without cost. The use of magic drains the lifeforce of the world around the Myra leaving it desolate and barren. The Gysha desert was once a lush rainforest until repeated use of magic rendered it devoid of life and greenery. Taro devoted years to the pursuit of knowledge, delving into the arcane arts of alchemy to unravel the mysteries that shrouded his people’s affliction. Seeking a means to block the magical connection, he immersed himself in the depths of alchemical lore, Taro uncovered a tantalizing formula that held the promise of lifting the curse that had haunted his kin for generations.

Driven by a fervent desire to liberate his people from the shackles of the ancient enchantment, Taro embarked on an ambitious experiment to implement his newfound alchemical solution. However, the delicate alchemical balance proved elusive, and an unexpected twist of fate intervened. The experiment, intended to break the curse, took an unexpected turn, and Taro found himself transformed into a diminutive, elephant-like creature, though his innate magical connection was no longer present! 

Despite his new form, Taro considers his personal transformation to be a success! Though the experiment did not unfold as planned, Taro’s resilience and determination remained unbroken. Rather than succumbing to despair, he embraced his new form, acknowledging that the pursuit of knowledge and the mastery of alchemy could lead to both triumphs and unforeseen consequences.
