🚀 Why Relaunch on Gamefound? 🚀
There are a few reasons behind this decision:
- Trust Issues with Kickstarter: After seeing several high-profile game companies successfully fund their campaigns on Kickstarter, only to fold and never deliver the games, we felt that trust in the platform was at an all-time low. We believed launching on Kickstarter would harm our release, and there weren’t any other viable platforms at the time. 🛑
- Pre-Order Challenges: We decided to run a pre-order on our own site, but encountered skepticism and misunderstanding from customers about the logistics. Additionally, a significant technical issue prevented many from placing orders. By the time we resolved it, the damage was done, and the initial launch was not as successful as we’d hoped. 💔
- New Content Ready: We had been working on a new Solo mode, faction, and characters that were ready to roll by the time the pre-orders were shipped out. 🛡️

During the first campaign, we dove deep into the tale of the Rosenburg rebellion faction, fighting to free the slaves that secretly power the greatness of Rosenburg. The great news? They’re not just a cool story anymore—they’ve been playtested and are ready to bring a fresh play style to the game! Though they might be a bit challenging for new players, mastering them will be simply awesome! 🌟
🌟 Meet Our New Heroes! 🌟
💥 Vice Lambert 💥 Once a Rosenburg guard captain, Vice woke up to the harsh reality behind Rosenburg’s wealth. Witnessing the suffering of thousands of slaves in the city mines, he broke away to help a large group escape. Armed with what he believes are “God Killer” weapons, Vice is determined to topple Odin and liberate his people. On the battlefield, Vice is a beast, inflicting paralysis and burn damage with his abilities! 🔥
✨ Lyra Faelora ✨ A Myra dancer and one of the slaves freed by Vice, Lyra has survived unimaginable ordeals, proving her unbreakable resolve. Her entrancing beauty and dancing make her an unsuspecting assassin. In combat, she’s formidable, but her real strength is in buffing allies, granting an additional movement phase, and allowing nearby allies to reroll failed dice! 🌹
🏰 Maron Valenheart 🏰 A Rosenburg noble and key supporter of the rebellion, Maron inherited family assets in his late teens. Discovering his family’s complicity in Rosenburg’s underground slavery, Maron joined forces with Vice to provide crucial information and funding. While not a combatant, Maron excels in generating skill cards and empowering allies with extra actions—imagine a second attack from Vice! 💪
🌟 Iori (pronounced “Yur-ee”) 🌟 A young girl with vestigial wings from her bloodline, Iori served the Rosenburg slavers as a white mage. After being freed by Vice, she vowed to use her powers for good. In-game, Iori can create magical shields that absorb damage and can bring slain heroes back into action quickly using a phoenix feather. 🦅

🌟 Leon Avarice 🌟 A legend among Rosenburg soldiers, Leon commanded the armies under the Kingdom of Vaaland. After a storied military career, he was granted land, titles, and riches, living a decade of luxurious excess. On the tabletop, Leon is a formidable force, able to punch you into next week and shrug off status effects. A true monster in combat! 💥

Cursed Empire
Cursed Empire by SBG Editions is an awesome dark and gritty fantasy RPG system based in the world of Thargos. It has been established and developed for over 30 years, and is rich in both lore and artwork. Dan has done all of the sculpts for Cursed Empire (many of which you can see being sculpted on his live streams on our Youtube channel). Whilst the scale doesn’t match up, we will be providing you with a set of Cursed Empire heroes to allow you to play using the CE miniatures.
Freebooters Fate
When Dan was just a hobbyist, one of his favourite sculptors was Werner Klocke, who made many awesome miniatures for Reaper, and it was actually Werner’s miniatures that inspired Dan to take up sculpting! Now Werner runs Freebooter Miniatures and has the pirate themed game Freebooters Fate! We’ve confirmed a crossover and will be creating profiles for a selection of Freebooter Miniatures that you can use to bring pirates into Crystal Collapse! Watch this space for more announcements on this!
