Yet, behind the veil of apparent prosperity lies a dark underbelly, concealed from the unsuspecting gaze of the populace.
Within the heart of Rosenburg beats a sinister truth, obscured by the gleam of its polished exterior. Here, in the clandestine recesses of the kingdom, a subsect of the Rosenburg Council operates in the shadows, orchestrating a nefarious scheme that stains the very foundation of the realm. In the depths of the earth, a cruel and clandestine slave culture thrives, its existence known only to the select few who wield power in the shadows.
Enslaved souls, bereft of freedom and dignity, toil ceaselessly in the perilous depths of the crystal mines, their labour fuelling the prosperity that is abundantly visible on the surface. Denied the most basic of human rights, these unfortunate beings are forsaken even the sustenance of food, their bodies sustained by the twisted tendrils of arcane magic. Through the mystical (and usually helpful and welcomed) arts of healing and resurrection, their lives are prolonged, along with their suffering in service to their merciless overlords. Once they are beyond the help of healing magics, the dark and forbidden art of Necromancy is harnessed to bind their souls to servitude even beyond the threshold of death itself.
